Houston hosts various fall festivals and charity events

Houston is hosting a variety of seasonal and cultural events, headlined by the Southern Smoke Festival at Discovery Green on October 3. The festival features over 90 chefs, including James Beard Award winners, to raise funds for a safety net for the food and beverage industry and to provide access to no-cost mental health care. This year’s theme is “Ramble on Rosé,” paying tribute to the Grateful Dead.

Other regional activities include Six Flags Over Texas’s fall celebrations, featuring FrightFest, Oktoberfest, and kid-friendly Halloween events. In the local community, Le Colonial Houston is celebrating its 10th anniversary with special menus and traditional lion and dragon dances. Additionally, the Epilepsy Foundation Texas will host “Violet Royale,” a casino-themed fundraiser to support programs for Texans living with epilepsy.
