Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Highlights Texas Wine Wins and Northern Italy as 2027 Featured Region

Texas wineries dominated the 2026 Houston Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition, with all four Texas Fine Wine participants earning Gold medals. Bending Branch Winery earned a Double Gold for its 2020 Petit Verdot Reserve and added three Platinum medals at the Fort Worth Vine 2 Wine Competition, plus the Best of Herd Texas Winery award at the San Antonio Rodeo Stock Show.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo announced that Northern Italy will be the Featured Wine Region for its 2027 Rodeo Uncorked! program. The selection, overseen by superintendent Leif Graham, aims to introduce Texas consumers to the diverse wines of Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria, Aosta Valley, Veneto, Emilia‑Romagna, Friuli‑Venezia Giulia and Trentino‑Alto Adige. The program continues to draw entries from over 25 countries, reinforcing its global scope.
