Houston Methodist hospitals named top performers by Vizient

All eight Houston Methodist acute care hospitals have been recognized as top performers in the Vizient Bernard A. Birnbaum, MD, Quality Leadership annual rankings. These rankings evaluate hospitals based on a national scorecard focusing on patient safety and quality metrics, including mortality, effectiveness, efficiency, and patient-centeredness.

Key achievements within the network include Houston Methodist Hospital ranking No. 3 out of 122 in the Comprehensive Academic Medical Centers cohort. Additionally, Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital and Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital both secured No. 1 rankings in their respective cohorts. Other network hospitals, including Houston Methodist West, Cypress, The Woodlands, Sugar Land, and Clear Lake, also placed within the top 10 of their specific categories.
