Houston sports updates: Soccer matchup and football scheduling uncertainty

The University of Kansas women's soccer team, ranked No. 15, is scheduled to play Houston on Friday, Oct. 30, at the Carl Lewis International Complex. Kansas enters the match with a 12-3-2 record, currently tied for second in the Big 12 conference. Houston holds a 10-3-4 record and sits fifth in the conference.

In football, the Big 12 Conference has announced that the kickoff time and network for the Nov. 7 game between Houston and Cincinnati remain uncertain. ESPN and FOX are utilizing a six-day window to determine the schedule, with a final decision expected after the Oct. 31 games. This scheduling method allows broadcasters to adjust time slots based on recent results. Houston is currently ranked No. 18 in the AP poll.
