Houston Texans fall to 0-3 after loss to Indianapolis Colts
The Houston Texans fell to a 0-3 start to the season following a 19-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. This marks the second consecutive year the team has opened with three losses. Despite the setback, quarterback C. J. Stroud expressed confidence in a turnaround, noting that the team has successfully recovered from similar starts in the past.
Head coach DeMeco Ryans emphasized the need for team unity, stating, “a divided house cannot stand.” The Texans' offense struggled during the matchup, recording only 223 total yards, with Stroud throwing for 167 yards.
Defensive concerns also emerged as defensive tackle Mario Edwards Jr. left the game in the second half with a knee injury. Edwards was unable to walk off the field under his own power, leaving his availability uncertain. If Edwards is sidelined, Jaden Crumedy is expected to take on a larger role within the defensive line rotation.
