Houston Texans host tryouts for seven offensive players
The Houston Texans hosted seven offensive players for tryouts on Friday as the team seeks to address depth issues at receiver and in the backfield. The group of players included quarterback Connor Bazelak, running backs Jaret Patterson and Terrell Jennings, and wide receivers Shedrick Jackson, Justin Shorter, Nick Nash, and Jalen Walthall.
Among the prospects, Jaret Patterson brings significant experience, having previously spent time with the Washington Commanders, Los Angeles Chargers, and Minnesota Vikings. Terrell Jennings also brings professional experience from his time with the New England Patriots. The search for offensive depth follows injuries to the roster, including a preseason ACL injury to sixth-round pick Graham Mertz, which has left the team needing additional options at quarterback.
