Houston Texans place rookie DT Kayden McDonald on injured reserve
The Houston Texans have placed rookie defensive tackle Kayden McDonald on injured reserve due to an ankle injury sustained during practice. The second-round draft pick will be inactive for at least the first four games of the regular season, making him eligible to return as early as October 11 against the Tennessee Titans.
To address the vacancy in the defensive line, the Texans have signed defensive tackle Jaden Crumedy from the Green Bay Packers practice squad. Crumedy, a former fourth-round pick by the Carolina Panthers, joins a rotation that includes Sheldon Rankins, Tommy Togiai, Logan Hall, and Mario Edwards Jr.
