Houston Texans sign Mark Gronowski to practice squad

The Houston Texans have signed quarterback Mark Gronowski and center Gavin Gerhardt to their practice squad. To facilitate these additions, the team released defensive tackle Dom Bailey and center Ka’ena De Cambra.

Gronowski, a former standout at South Dakota State and Iowa, previously spent time with the Miami Dolphins. His signing comes as the Texans look to bolster their quarterback depth following a season-ending knee injury to sixth-round pick Graham Mertz.

Following the announcement, Gronowski’s father, former Drake University quarterback Ray Gronowski, expressed excitement on social media regarding the opportunity with the franchise.
