Houston Texans wide receiver Jaylin Noel placed on injured reserve

The Houston Texans have placed wide receiver Jaylin Noel on injured reserve due to a turf toe injury. While the designation typically allows for a return after four missed games, reports indicate that Noel is expected to undergo surgery, which will sideline him for the remainder of the season.

Noel’s absence adds to a growing list of injuries within the Texans' receiving corps. He joins Jayden Higgins, who was previously placed on injured reserve following an ACL tear. Noel had been a significant contributor this season, leading the team with 331 receiving yards through seven games.

To fill Noel’s roster spot, the Texans claimed running back Emari Demercado off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys. Despite the injuries, Houston maintains depth at the position with Nico Collins, Marvin Harrison Jr., Tank Dell, and Kayshon Boutte available.
