Houston Texans WR Tank Dell Cleared to Return from Injury
Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell has been removed from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, signaling his return after missing the entire 2025 season. Dell suffered a severe knee injury in December 2024 that required multiple surgeries, including a dislocated knee, torn ACL, MCL, LCL and meniscus damage. He described 2025 as “the hardest year of my life,” but now says he feels good and is ready to rejoin the roster.
During his rookie year in 2023 Dell posted 709 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, followed by 667 yards and three touchdowns in 2024 before the injury sidelined him. His comeback is expected to give quarterback C.J. Stroud a deep‑threat option and relieve pressure on fellow receiver Nico Collins, potentially improving the Texans’ aerial attack.
Head coach DeMeco Ryans and teammates have welcomed the news, viewing Dell’s return as a boost to the team’s offense after a season hampered by a lack of consistent playmakers.
