Houston visits Georgia Southern at Paulson Stadium

No. 25 Houston is scheduled to visit Georgia Southern at Paulson Stadium this Saturday. The matchup features Houston head coach Willie Fritz, who previously led the Eagles to a Sun Belt championship during his two-season tenure from 2014 to 2015.

Houston enters the game with a 2-1 record following a narrow 28-26 loss to No. 11 Texas Tech. The Cougars currently rank seventh nationally in total offense, averaging 527.3 yards per game. Georgia Southern, currently 1-2, seeks to improve its consistency after a recent loss to Jacksonville State, where they failed to maintain a lead in the fourth quarter.

Georgia Southern head coach Clay Helton emphasized the need for better attention to detail across offense, defense, and special teams to ensure the team can maintain its execution throughout all four quarters of play.
