Houthi forces blow up Hayja al-Abd ferry in Yemen

Houthi forces detonated a ferry on the Hayja al-Abd road, severing the primary transport artery connecting the Taiz governorate to Lahj and the temporary capital, Aden.

The destruction of this vital infrastructure is expected to increase the isolation of Taiz, complicating the movement of civilians and the transport of essential goods, including food supplies. The disruption is likely to raise transportation costs and create significant challenges for patients and travelers requiring medical access.

This escalation occurs alongside reports of military reinforcements moving toward the Al-Turba area, amid concerns regarding potential field advancements and the impact on the ongoing siege of Taiz.
