Houthi forces implement security crackdown in Sanaa

The Houthi movement has implemented intensive security measures in Sanaa to suppress celebrations marking the 64th anniversary of the September 26 Revolution. According to local reports, the Houthi security and intelligence apparatus has issued strict directives to police stations, security centers, and neighborhood leaders to monitor and prevent any public gatherings or displays of celebration.

The security plan includes deploying intelligence agents into residential neighborhoods, with three intelligence elements assigned to work alongside neighborhood leaders in each district. Starting the evening of September 25 and continuing through September 26, security forces will use both civilian and official vehicles to monitor movements.

Specific instructions include the immediate arrest of individuals seen raising the Yemeni national flag or discharging firearms and fireworks in celebration. Additionally, new checkpoints and armed positions have been established in strategic areas and government buildings. Residents have also been instructed not to fire weapons if drones are spotted, but to report them to security operations instead.
