Houthi militia prepares drones in Al-Jawf amid tribal blockade

Intelligence reports from Sheba Intelligence indicate intensive Houthi militia movements to prepare drones at the Al-Saqiyah camp in Al-Jawf governorate. Drone specialists have reportedly been observed alongside Houthi military leadership at the Al-Labnat camp, suggesting preparations for potential offensive operations or aerial reconnaissance.

These military movements coincide with a heightened tribal mobilization led by Sheikh Hamad bin Fadgham al-Hazmi and the Matareh al-Karama group. Following the expiration of an eight-day ultimatum demanding the release of a kidnapped individual named Mira and the return of looted property, tribal coalitions have begun banning heavy transport trucks and commercial goods from traveling to Houthi-controlled areas. While civilian vehicles and passengers are permitted, tribes have threatened to sever military and logistical supply lines.

Tribal fighters have been called to mobilize in the Al-Issam area of Al-Jawf in anticipation of further escalations. Observers suggest the Houthi drone mobilization may be intended to monitor tribal gatherings or road sectors. Strategically, the Al-Saqiyah camp remains significant as it could facilitate operations against government forces in Marib or drone launches toward areas near the Saudi Arabian border.
