Houthi missile debris identified as Iranian-made in Yemen

National Resistance forces in Yemen have announced that debris from ballistic missiles launched by Houthi militias toward the port of Al-Mocha and the western coast has been identified as Iranian-made Fattah-110 missiles. Brigadier General Sadiq Duwaid stated that these solid-fuel missiles, which have a range of 300 kilometers, are deployed from mobile platforms or camouflaged commercial trucks.

Reports from the Wall Street Journal, citing intelligence officials, suggest the Houthis are central to a secret Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps plan to expand regional conflict. This strategy involves coordinating attacks against vital infrastructure, including energy facilities and ports in Saudi Arabia, alongside Iranian-backed militias in Iraq and Lebanon.

The escalation includes the deployment of naval weapons, ballistic missiles, and drone launch sites at strategic locations overlooking the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait to pressure international maritime trade. Proposed Iranian escalation options reportedly include preemptive strikes, the sabotage of internet cables in the Arabian Gulf, and potential ground operations in Kuwait.
