Houthi movement faces growing manpower crisis in Yemen

Military analyst Adnan al-Jabrani reports that the Houthi movement is facing an increasing crisis in securing the human resources necessary to sustain its military operations. This shortage is attributed to expanding combat fronts and significant casualties sustained during clashes with government forces and their allies, as well as intensive airstrikes.

Key indicators of this manpower strain include the urgent opening of recruitment in Houthi-controlled areas and the deployment of non-military personnel, including security and mobilization cadres, to the front lines. Al-Jabrani notes that Abdul-Malik al-Houthi reportedly issued directives for non-essential employees to move toward the Taiz governorate to support military efforts.

Furthermore, the group has been forced to redistribute fighters, pulling personnel from the Hajjah outskirts and various islands to the Mocha and Dhubab fronts to counter the maneuvers of the Southern Giants Forces. These shifts have reportedly hindered Houthi attempts to break sieges in the Bab al-Mandab area. While the group maintains a perception of inexhaustible strength, analysts suggest that the actual capacity for mobilization is reaching its limits.
