Houthis claim Saudi Arabia is fighting alone amid Yemeni conflict escalation

Houthis officials and military sources have highlighted shifting dynamics in the Yemeni conflict. Daifallah al-Shami, a member of the Ansar Allah political office, stated that Saudi Arabia is now fighting alone after the decline of its original coalition, which once included approximately 25 nations and later 17, before reducing primarily to Saudi and Emirati involvement.

Al-Shami questioned the objectives of new alliances Saudi Arabia is attempting to form, suggesting they are intended to protect the Saudi regime amidst regional tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. He argued that such efforts should instead focus on lifting the blockade on the Yemeni people.

Simultaneously, military sources report that the Houthis are escalating internal military operations against government forces in Marib, Al-Dhale, and the West Coast. This escalation is viewed as an attempt to divert public attention from worsening economic conditions, high unemployment, and widespread poverty within Houthi-controlled areas. Reports indicate that the group is utilizing military developments to suppress domestic dissent and address growing public anger over unpaid salaries and food insecurity, exemplified by the social media campaign "I am hungry."
