Houtribdijk N307 to implement heavy vehicle restrictions

Starting in autumn 2026, heavy vehicle traffic will be restricted on the Houtribdijk (N307) between Lelystad and Enkhuizen. Rijkswaterstaat is implementing a weight limit of 15 tons and an axle load limit of 7.3 tons due to the deteriorating condition of the bridges.

The movable bridges at the Houtribsluizen have developed cracks, and the concrete on the fixed bridges is outdated. These measures aim to prevent further damage and ensure the bridges remain safe for passenger cars. While emergency services and delivery vans may still use the route, most heavy freight trucks will be required to detour via the A6 and A7 motorways.
