How I Became King by Eating Monsters to receive anime adaptation

The light novel series ‘How I Became King by Eating Monsters’ (Monster no Niku wo Kutteitara Ōi ni Tsuita Ken) by Daken has been announced to receive an anime adaptation. The series, which began on the ‘Shōsetsuka ni Narō’ website in 2022, is being produced by studio White Fox.

While one report indicates a debut next year, another suggests a 2027 release. The story follows Mars, the twelve-year-old first prince of the Farune kingdom, who survives assassination attempts by eating monsters in a nearby forest, discovering that consuming monster meat grants him increased strength.

In addition to the upcoming anime, a manga adaptation by Karin Suzuragi is currently being published in ‘Young Animal Zero’.
