How to Fish sells 1 million copies on Steam within 48 hours

The independent cooperative simulator ‘How to Fish’, developed by Dazed Games, has achieved a major commercial milestone by selling 1 million copies on Steam within just 48 hours of its release. The game has seen a massive surge in player engagement, with concurrent player counts reaching between 270,000 and 341,000 on the Valve platform.

Combining fishing mechanics with survival and first-person shooter elements, the game tasks players with surviving on an isolated island. Players must catch and sell fish to acquire resources, tools, and weapons to progress. While initially supporting up to four players, a recent patch expanded the online cooperative capacity to eight players. The gameplay includes exploring archipelago regions, battling maritime bosses, and using various methods to process fish for sale.

Dazed Games has committed to providing frequent updates and technical fixes to support the growing community.
