Howard University hosts Morehouse College for historic homecoming

Howard University is set to host Morehouse College for a historic homecoming football game at William H. Greene Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026. The matchup marks the first time the two institutions have met for homecoming since 1997.

The game features a notable personal connection, as Howard’s first-year head coach, Ted White, previously played for the Bison. Howard currently holds an all-time series lead of 28-10-2 against Morehouse and has won eight consecutive games in the rivalry since 2011.

Beyond the athletic competition, the 2026 homecoming celebration is highlighted by significant cultural expression, particularly through campus fashion. The event serves as a major gathering for alumni and students, emphasizing the traditions and lifelong bonds associated with these two historic HBCUs.
