Howden Re launches Novark platform for insurance risk management

Howden Re has launched Novark, a digital platform designed to bridge the gap between institutional capital and insurance risk. The platform combines insurance management and securities administration to provide near real-time data updates on insurance investments.

The initiative aims to address a disconnect in the alternative capital market, where insurance-linked securities (ILS) have become a vital source of reinsurance capacity, yet the supporting infrastructure has remained fragmented. Novark is intended to offer investors greater visibility, transparency, and control over their positions, while allowing insurers and reinsurers to manage third-party capital more effectively.

The Novark Group will operate through Novark Management, a Bermuda-incorporated entity formerly known as Alternative Risk Management (Bermuda). Led by Chief Innovation Officer Razi Naqvi, the platform will support clients through the full lifecycle of risk transfer, including advisory, structuring, administration, governance, and reporting.
