Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar stages 20‑year reunion in Mexico City

The Mexican production of the musical "Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar" returned to Mexico City in July 2026, marking 20 years since its debut. The revival is staged at Centro Cultural Teatro 1 and brings back the original cast, including Alan Estrada, Fernanda Castillo and Luis Gerardo Méndez.

Producer Alejandro Gou announced a run of 15 performances through early September, with guest appearances such as singer Juan Solo. The production uses LED screens, special effects and video‑mapping to enhance the show.

The musical originally premiered on 7 April 2005 in Madrid, Spain and is built around songs by the Spanish group Mecano. Plans are under way to extend the tour across Mexico in 2027 and to record the production for streaming platforms.
