Hoyeon discusses intense action training for film ‘Hope’

Actor Hoyeon, widely recognized for her role in ‘Squid Game’, has shared details regarding her preparation for the upcoming Korean action sci-fi thriller, ‘Hope’. To portray the character of rookie police officer Sung-ae, Hoyeon underwent extensive training in firearms, car drifting, and various other action techniques.

During production, Hoyeon worked under director Na Hong-jin, whose perfectionist approach required high precision. This resulted in one specific long firearm action sequence requiring 18 takes to complete. The film features an international ensemble cast, including Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, and Hwang Jung-min. ‘Hope’ is scheduled to arrive in Indian theaters on October 23.
