HP announces new AI workstations featuring NVIDIA and AMD hardware

HP has announced new high-performance AI workstations designed to bring large-scale model processing from data centers to local environments.

The ZGX Fury is an AI station built around the NVIDIA GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip. It features 748GB of unified memory and up to 20 petaFLOPS of FP4 compute. Positioned as a shared inference box for departments or factory floors, the system includes a collaboration with Red Hat and NVIDIA to integrate the Red Hat AI Factory. The hardware supports trillion-parameter inference and fine-tuning of 100 billion parameter models via quantization.

Additionally, HP introduced the ZBook Ultra G3a 16, a 16-inch portable workstation powered by AMD Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 series CPUs. This mobile device offers up to 192GB of unified RAM, enabling the local execution of models with up to 300 billion parameters. The ZBook will also ship with Perplexity Personal Computer for Windows to facilitate local AI workflows and data analysis without cloud reliance. The ZBook is scheduled to go on sale in October.
