HP Korea and Nable partner to expand 5G wireless smart offices

HP Korea and Nable Communications have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to expand the wireless smart office market using 5G private networks. The partnership aims to target sectors with high security requirements, such as financial institutions and public agencies.

Under the agreement, HP Korea will provide 5G-enabled enterprise hardware, including AI PCs, laptops, and docking stations, while managing device security at the BIOS and firmware levels. Nable Communications will be responsible for the design, construction, verification, and optimization of the 5G private networks, ensuring they meet specific regulatory and security policies of client organizations.

The two companies have previously collaborated on wireless smart office projects for major commercial banks, utilizing technology from SK Telecom and Samsung Electronics. Moving forward, they plan to engage in joint technical development and standardization to enhance both mobility and security in wireless work environments.
