HP Labor Relations Index shows rising workplace wellness and AI adoption
HP Inc. has released the fourth edition of its Labor Relations Index, a global study involving over 19,000 office workers and business leaders across 15 countries. The report indicates a slight recovery in workplace wellness, with 29% of office workers reporting a healthy relationship with their work, an 8 percentage point increase from 2025.
Despite this improvement, significant challenges remain. Two out of three workers are still categorized in a risk or critical state regarding their work relationships. Additionally, 86% of employees experienced organizational changes in the past year, and 67% believe that changing jobs is currently too risky.
The study highlights the growing influence of technology and artificial intelligence. Approximately 69% of workers view technology as a positive force for change, while 60% state that AI has had a favorable impact on their lives. Notably, 47% of workers are already using AI agents as part of their daily professional activities.
Business leaders also emphasized the importance of technology, with 70% considering the employee technological experience a key differentiator. Roughly two-thirds of leaders linked poor technological experiences to difficulties in talent retention.
