HP launches OmniBook Ultra 16 with Nvidia RTX Spark for local AI
HP has released the OmniBook Ultra 16, a workstation laptop designed to support local artificial intelligence workloads through the new Nvidia RTX Spark platform. The device utilizes an N1X system-on-chip, which integrates a MediaTek-derived central processing chiplet with an Nvidia Blackwell graphics unit via NVLink Fusion interconnect technology.
To facilitate demanding research and engineering tasks, the high-specification variant offers up to 128 GB of unified memory, allowing large machine learning models to run directly on the hardware without external hosting. The system features 20 CPU cores and 6,144 CUDA cores.
In a separate consumer-focused offering, the HP OmniBook X 17 features an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor with an integrated NPU (49 TOPS), meeting Microsoft Copilot+ PC requirements for local AI functions such as image generation and video optimization. This model includes 24 GB of DDR5 RAM and a 17.3-inch IPS display.
