HP mini 210 netbook revived with Debian installation

A user successfully revived a damaged HP mini 210 netbook by installing the Debian operating system. Despite a broken screen that rendered the standard installer unusable, the installation was achieved through a semi-blind boot process using a Debian SD card and manual configuration via an xterm window.

The hardware configuration includes an Atom N450 1.66 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, and a 250 GB hard drive. While the process was complex and resulted in a Debian sid installation that required reconfiguration to testing, the machine is now operational as a desktop replacement.
