HR. Weekend festival explores leadership and culture in the age of AI
The fourth edition of the HR. Weekend festival in Rovinj brought together experts to discuss the intersection of psychology, leadership, business, and organizational culture in an era of rapid technological change.
Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic, Chief Scientific Officer at Russell Reynolds Associates and professor at University College London and Columbia University, addressed the evolving role of leadership. He suggested that as artificial intelligence becomes as ubiquitous as electricity or Wi-Fi, a company’s sole competitive advantage will be its culture. He noted that as AI automates specific tasks, human qualities such as emotional intelligence, curiosity, judgment, and vision will become increasingly critical.
Addressing the biological challenges of the modern era, Dr. Meri Tadinac from the University of Zagreb discussed how the human brain struggles to keep pace with technological acceleration. She highlighted the impact of constant information and social stimuli on attention, anxiety, and loneliness, emphasizing the necessity of empathy and human connection.
