Hradec Králové hosts Ironman 70.3 triathlon

The third annual Ironman 70.3 triathlon will take place in Hradec Králové from August 14 to August 16. The event features 1,500 athletes from 45 different countries competing in swimming, cycling, and running disciplines. Race director Roman Šinkovský noted that the event has seen significant growth, with registration selling out months in advance.

The competition will cause major logistical changes in the city. On Sunday, August 18, public transport services will be heavily impacted, with 14 different bus lines (including lines 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 25, 27, and 33) facing route changes or canceled stops. Residents and commuters are advised to use designated replacement stops during the event.
