Hradec Králové offers free transit for Mobility Week; Prešov Museum acquires historical coach

Hradec Králové is participating in the European Mobility Week by offering free public transport to all driver's license holders on Tuesday, September 22. As part of the Car-Free Day initiative, residents who opt for public transit instead of driving can present their driver's license to inspectors to ride for free on all city lines.

The city has organized several accompanying events, including free scooter rentals, community meetings, and cycling activities. Additionally, Tylovo nábřeží will be closed to motor vehicles for the day to create a space for public movement and social interaction.

In Slovakia, the Prešov Regional Museum has acquired a unique historical artifact known as a ‘cholera coach’. This vehicle, a replica built using an original chassis, was used by Samaritan firefighters in the first half of the 20th century to transport the sick and wounded.

The acquisition, supported by grants from the Fund for the Support of Art and the Prešov Self-Governing Region, expands the museum's Fire Protection collection. The coach will be displayed to the public following the completion of the museum's reconstruction.
