Hradec Králové region launches Building of the Year competition

The Hradec Králové region’s annual "Stavba roku" competition received 26 project entries covering civil infrastructure, health and social facilities, schools, cultural institutions and residential buildings. Projects such entries include the Galleria Central redevelopment of the historic Labuť hotel in Vrchlabí, the Rezidence 111 conversion of a former villa and factory hall, and the restored Bílý bridge in Špindlerův Mlýn.

The competition, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Czech Chamber of Authorized Engineers and Technicians, the Czech Association of Construction Engineers, the Czech Chamber of Architects and the Business Association in Construction, will be judged by an expert panel. The award ceremony is scheduled for autumn, and the spokesperson for the region, Dan Lechmann, confirmed that eligible projects must have been completed, approved or in trial operation between 1 January 2023 and 31 May 2026.
