Hradec Králové supporters mock Pardubice football club's new logo in derby

FK Pardubice unveiled a new club logo and visual identity ahead of the 2026-27 season, featuring a horse and the letter “P” to signal a modern era. During the opening league derby in Hradec Králové, rival supporters displayed a large banner that distorted the new emblem into a vulgar depiction of male genitalia and shouted profane slogans. The spectacle was widely shared on social media, prompting the Pardubice board to respond with emojis rather than a formal comment.

The match ended with Pardubice losing 2‑1, adding a sporting defeat to the branding controversy. Club officials, including sports director Jiří Bílek, had explained the redesign as a strategic move to attract younger fans, but the hostile reception highlights how quickly club identity changes can become flashpoints in Czech football rivalries.
