FK Jablonec 2-3 loss to NK Varaždin in Conference League qualifying

FK Jablonec were eliminated from the UEFA Conference League after a 3‑2 defeat to Croatia's NK Varaždin in the second‑qualifying round. Varaždin took the lead in the 24th minute when Iuri Tavares headed in from a set‑piece. Jablonec equalised three minutes later through Martin Cedidla. The Czech side went ahead in the 56th minute when Sebastián Tekijaški headed from a corner, but Varaždin responded in the 68th minute when Ivan Mamut scored after a quick counter‑attack. Luka Mamič secured the win for the visitors in the 82nd minute. Post‑match analysis highlighted Jablonec’s defensive frailties, lack of compactness and costly individual mistakes that turned potential saves into goals.

In related European action, Hradec Králové returned to continental competition for the first time since 1995/96, beating Norwegian side Tromsø 1‑0 in the Europa League second‑qualifying round. UEFA placed Hradec in the draw after the MOL Cup winner Karviná was excluded for a domestic corruption case.
