Hranice Abyss: Diver found dead at 186 meters depth

A diver has died following a solo dive in the Hranice Abyss in the Czech Republic. The incident occurred during a multi-day expedition aimed at testing a new Hungarian underwater robot designed for deep-cave exploration.

The diver began a planned solo descent to a maximum depth of 40 meters on August 5 to document underwater vegetation and test the robot's capabilities. After signaling to a group of three divers that he was fine, he failed to resurface within the scheduled 100-minute window.

Initial search efforts by divers and the Integrated Rescue System focused on shallower areas up to 70 meters but were unsuccessful. Ultimately, an underwater robot located the diver's body at a depth of 186 meters.
