Hrastnik secures EU funds for residential building renovation
In Hrastnik, Slovenia, a consortium including the Municipality of Hrastnik, RRA Zasavje, and the University of Ljubljana (IRI UL) has secured nearly 500,000 euros in European funds for residential renovations. The project targets an 80-year-old municipal building to address regional housing shortages.
The funding, totaling 453,680 euros, will be used to prepare documentation for comprehensive energy renovation and the revitalization of the building and its surroundings. The initiative aims to provide at least four residential units for individuals in housing distress, with the potential to create more. The project aligns with the New European Bauhaus initiative, emphasizing both functionality and aesthetic quality to improve the town's appearance.
