Hristijan Mickoski details Belgium trip as educational excursion
North Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski has provided details regarding his recent one-week trip to Belgium, characterizing it as a ‘scientific-educational excursion’ with his sons rather than a traditional holiday. Mickoski stated that he is not a fan of ‘large annual holidays with salt water and sandy beaches,’ noting that the trip involved visiting historical sites in cities such as Bruges, Ghent, and Antwerp, often walking up to 20 kilometers per day.
The Prime Minister clarified that the trip was private and that he personally covered all costs for travel and accommodation to ensure the state budget was not burdened. He also noted that while in Brussels, he held three meetings with potential investors from Germany, the United States, and an existing investor looking to expand. He expects these agreements to be finalized and signed this autumn.
