HRT opens applications for Dora 2027 Eurovision selection
Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) has officially opened the public call for Dora 2027, the national selection process to determine Croatia's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. The application period runs from September 28 through November 29, 2026.
A professional jury will evaluate submissions to select 24 competing songs and four reserves. Eligibility is restricted to songs that have not been previously performed or publicly released, and authors must hold all necessary rights to the music and lyrics. The primary selection criterion is artistic value, focusing on the quality of the composition, lyrics, and overall work.
Performers must be at least 18 years old by the day of their semi-final performance. The winner of the festival will represent Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest in May 2027, which is scheduled to take place in Burgas, Bulgaria. The Dora 2027 competition will be broadcast live on HRT channels in February 2027.
