HSBC India announces zero forex markup on all credit cards

HSBC India has announced a zero forex markup offer for its entire credit card portfolio for existing Indian residents. The promotion will run from 15 August 2026 to 15 September 2026.

The offer applies to both merchant point-of-sale and online foreign currency transactions. Eligible cards include the HSBC Premier, Taj, Live+, TravelOne, and Platinum credit cards. The HSBC Prive and HSBC RuPay Cashback cards already provide zero forex markup.

In addition to the temporary markup removal, the bank noted that cardholders are not charged a Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) fee, allowing customers to pay in Indian Rupees (INR) while traveling without extra costs. Sandeep Batra, Head of International Wealth and Premier Banking at HSBC India, stated the initiative aims to provide customers with greater clarity and value on international transactions.
