HSBC launches 200‑person hiring drive in Singapore as senior Hong Kong wealth executive exits

HSBC Singapore announced a recruitment programme to add 100 artificial‑intelligence specialists and 100 wealth relationship managers, aiming to embed machine‑learning tools in its banking infrastructure and expand advisory services for high‑net‑worth clients across Southeast Asia.

In Hong Kong, Lina Lim, managing director and head of funds & discretionary for HSBC Wealth and Premier Solutions, will leave the bank at the end of the month after seven years. Allen Chiu, head of discretionary and funds specialists in Hong Kong, will serve as interim replacement while HSBC conducts a search for a permanent successor. Lim’s career includes senior roles at JP Morgan Private Bank, EY Malaysia and Sumitomo Mitsui Asset Management.
