HSBC launches HSBCnio digital transaction banking platform

HSBC has launched HSBCnio, a new digital transaction banking platform designed for corporate and institutional clients. The solution aims to integrate banking services, data, and intelligence directly into the existing workflows and platforms used by businesses.

The platform offers multiple engagement methods, including a simplified web and mobile interface for monitoring cash positions, transactions, trade loans, foreign exchange (FX), and payment tracking. To facilitate technical integration, HSBC provides API documentation, software development kits (SDKs), and a sandbox environment.

A central feature of HSBCnio is its AI-enabled access via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This allows clients to use their own AI tools to query authorized account and transaction information. Additionally, the bank plans to introduce ‘Ask HSBC’, an AI-driven feature to assist clients in searching for and interpreting banking data.
