Ondo Finance BlackRock tokenized portfolios real-world assets onchain investment

Ondo Finance has launched a new suite of onchain investment products called Ondo Intelligent Portfolios. These products utilize model portfolio strategies developed by BlackRock to provide diversified asset exposure through single, transferable tokens.

The initial rollout includes three distinct strategies: Ondo High Income (BLKHIon), Ondo Diversified Growth (BLKDIGon), and Ondo High Growth (BLKGRWon). These portfolios are designed for eligible investors located outside of the United States in permitted jurisdictions.

Unlike traditional asset tokenization that focuses on individual securities, this approach allows investors to gain exposure to a weighted basket of assets via a single token. The underlying positions, weightings, and rebalancing activities are all visible onchain in real time. Rebalancing is executed automatically through smart contracts on a preset schedule.

BlackRock's involvement is limited to providing the nondiscretionary model portfolio strategies; the firm does not manage the onchain portfolios, handle tokenization, or oversee the operational infrastructure. Following the announcement, the ONDO token experienced a significant price increase, trading near $0.51.
