Hsieh Su-wei and Liang En-shuo advance to Cincinnati Open round of 16

Taiwanese players Hsieh Su-wei and Liang En-shuo both advanced to the round of 16 in the women's doubles at the WTA 1000 Cincinnati Open.

Hsieh Su-wei, the fifth seed, partnered with Latvia's Jelena Ostapenko. The duo defeated Slovakia's Tereza Mihalikova and the UK's Olivia Nicholls with a score of 7-6(2), 6-3. After a competitive first set that went to a tiebreak, the pair secured the win with a strong performance in the second set.

Liang En-shuo, partnering with Japan's Shuko Aoyama, defeated the team of Giuliana Olmos from Mexico and Ingrid Neel from Estonia. The pair won 6-2, 7-5. In the second set, Liang and Aoyama successfully defended against four set points in the tenth game before securing a crucial break to clinch the match.
