Hsinchu and Miaoli authorities launch matchmaking event with marriage bonuses

Local governments in Hsinchu City, Hsinchu County, and Miaoli County, in collaboration with the Hsinchu Science Park, are launching a joint matchmaking event for single individuals aged 22 to 45. The event is scheduled for October 3 at the Hotel Miramar Hsinchu and Qingcao Lake.

To combat declining birth rates and marriage trends, the initiative includes significant financial incentives. Couples who register their marriage following the event may receive a 60,000 TWD marriage bonus, with six slots available. Additionally, six slots are available for a 100,000 TWD childcare subsidy per newborn. The first couple to marry within one year of the event will also receive diamond wedding rings.

The program aims to create a marriage-friendly environment through interactive activities such as AR puzzles, mosaic glass making, and stand-up paddleboarding. Registration is currently open for up to 160 participants.
