Hsinchu City Baseball Stadium enters final inspection phase

Hsinchu Mayor Kao Hung-an announced that the renovation of the Hsinchu City Baseball Stadium has entered its final inspection phase. The project, which faced a four-year delay, involved upgrading the artificial turf, red clay, and drainage systems to meet professional standards. During the inspection, Kao was accompanied by Deputy Mayor Lin Kun-han and municipal advisor Zhang Tai-shan.

Kao noted that the renovation addressed significant previous issues, including the discovery of large amounts of waste and unauthorized concrete structures buried beneath the field. The city is pursuing civil and criminal litigation against the original contractors to hold them accountable for construction defects.

Separately, the 2026 Central Taiwan Agricultural Marketing Exhibition has opened in Nantou. The event features agricultural products from eight counties and cities in Central Taiwan, including Hsinchu, Taichung, and Nantou, aiming to promote regional cooperation and local brands.
