Albert Grønbaek suffers knee injury in HSV friendly against Lille

Hamburger SV midfielder Albert Grønbaek suffered a knee injury during a friendly match against OSC Lille. The 25-year-old Danish player was forced off the pitch in the 51st minute after a collision with Lille's Gala Mukau. Grønbaek, who was recently signed from Stade Rennes for a base fee of 4.7 million euros, required assistance from medical staff and teammates to reach the dressing room as he was unable to put weight on his left leg.

The injury comes at a critical time, just two weeks before the start of the Bundesliga season. The match, which ended in a 2-2 draw, also saw defender Jordan Torunarigha substituted due to physical discomfort. While the exact severity of Grønbaek's injury has not yet been determined, the club faces a potential setback with one of its key summer signings.

In other news from the match, Rayan Philippe was noted for his strong performance, including scoring a direct free kick to equalize for HSV.
