Hôtel Le Meurice offers surrealist luxury dining in Paris

The Hôtel Le Meurice in Paris, established in 1835, continues its legacy as a cultural landmark known as the “hotel of artists.” Historically associated with figures such as Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí, the hotel remains a center for pop culture.

At the heart of the hotel is the Le Dalí restaurant, which features a design by Philippe Starck. The space blends Louis XVI opulence with surrealist elements, including a hand-painted ceiling canvas by Ara Starck and intentionally mismatched furniture.

Under the guidance of Alain Ducasse and the execution of chef Clémentine Bouchon, the restaurant emphasizes seasonal French cuisine with a “farm-to-fork” philosophy. The establishment holds the Écotable seal for sustainability, sourcing 95% of its ingredients from local producers. The menu includes dishes such as seafood risotto, arancini, and Sole meunière.
