Hôtellerie des Lacquets to reopen as France's highest hotel
Hôtellerie des Lacquets, located in the Hautes-Pyrénées near Pic du Midi, is set to reopen on September 25 following a three-year renovation project. Situated at an altitude of 2620 meters, the establishment will become the highest hotel in France, surpassing the Refuge de Solaise in Val-d'Isère.
The project involved an investment of 11 million euros to rehabilitate the site, which was originally founded in the early 1930s and had been closed since 1996. The reopened hotel will offer 16 rooms with nightly rates of approximately 600 euros.
