HTX denies responsibility for unexpected USDT transfers
Reports have emerged regarding unexpected Tether (USDT) deposits linked to the HTX exchange, causing concerns among users. On-chain data indicates a pattern of recurring small payments, ranging from 3 to 10 USDT, sent to recipients who did not initiate the transfers.
Several recipients reported that their accounts were frozen shortly after these deposits arrived. Such small transfers may trigger automatic account review processes by receiving exchanges due to existing sanctions related to the platform.
HTX has officially denied responsibility for these unexplained transfers, stating that none of its official platforms or associated testing programs initiated the deposits. However, many of the transactions carried an “HTX” identifier tag. The exchange is currently investigating possibilities such as address tagging and on-chain source identification to resolve the attribution of these funds.
